St. David’s has been a Christian presence on Long Island since 1951. In 2001 we celebrated “Fifty Years of Grace.” Holy Communion is celebrated at every Saturday and Sunday service. The congregation has about 800 baptized members. We are air-conditioned and handicapped accessible for worship.

St. David's Lutheran Church is a member of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God and that the Lutheran Confessions are the true understanding of the Bible. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate. We confess the historic ecumenical creeds: Apostles' Creed, Nicene Creed and Athanasian Creed. Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are the means of grace through which God creates and sustains faith. In Holy Communion we receive the true body and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
